District Criterium is this weekend

Hi everyone,

Please join us at NOMA for Colombian Independence Day this Sunday, July 20, from 1-4 p.m. We'll have Latin music by the fabulous Rumba Buena, authentic Colombian dancing, an assortment of Latin-American beers, frozen margaritas, Colombian snacks and more. Best of all, it's free to Louisiana residents.

A flyer is attached--feel free to send it around to anyone you know who might be interested. If you haven't seen The Baroque World of Fernando Botero yet, this would be the perfect day to do so. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I'll hope to see you here sometime soon!

Best,
Jim

Hey Everybody,

The district crit is just six days away and I wanted to send out some additional information. First I want to thank Eddie Corcoran Allstate Insurance for his generous donation of $250 towards cash primes. All of the groups (except juniors) will have a second lap cash prize from the Cat 1,2,3's $75 to Cat 5's $25.

Second we will open the race to one day licenses for Cat 5 and Masters, they can compete for prizes but are not eligible for the district championship medals.

Third I wanted to encourage all racers to visit the New Orleans Museum of Art after the race, they are hosting a Columbian Independence day celebration starting at 1:00 with live music, beer and margaritas in the main lobby(see attached). So if you want to cool off after the race, this is the place. Remember that preregistration ends Thursday, so register at www.bikereg.com to avoid $10 for late entry.

See you all Sunday!
